Karla Rimmer is a Washington native, raised in Eastern Washington. She graduated from Johns Hopkins University, and has spent the intervening years in New York, North Carolina and Connecticut, along with two previous stints in Seattle. After a career working as a Clinical Transplant Coordinator and a period working in pharmaceuticals, she is now a School Nurse in the Mercer Island School District. When outside of work, Karla has immersed herself in local art scenes, and most recently combined this with community engagement as a Board Member at the Carriage Barn Art Center in New Canaan, CT. Two years ago, Karla and her husband and two children moved home for good, and now reside in Mercer Island. Karla enjoys cooking, watersports, art and travel and spending summers in Coeur D’Alene, ID.
