Born and raised in Alabama, Kate Knecht has lived and worked in Paris, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Seattle. She holds a BA in Architecture from Princeton University as well as a Master of Architecture from UCLA, and has worked on projects ranging from medical schools to residential remodels; from urban plans to workplace interiors. She has most recently been collaborating with Clive Wilkinson Architects in Los Angeles, the city where she was a founding member and drummer of a punk rock band and where her first child was born. Kate, her intrepid husb<wbr />and and their two wonderful boys have called Mercer Island home since 2013. She is an active volunteer in her children’s schools, as well as with FARE (Food Allergy Research & Education) and the Hopelink organization. Her interests include travel, gardening, music and everything involving family, friends, and nature.
