Lisa Lopez-Hellemons was born and raised in El Centro, California, a rural agricultural community 115 miles east of San Diego. Inspired by her studies in globalization at the University of California San Diego, she set out to further her “global education,” and has lived and worked abroad in Spain, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. Her decade of professional experience includes leadership roles at Sanofi, McKinney Rogers, and Diageo. In addition to her professional career, she has volunteered at Being Alive, an organization dedicated to helping people living with HIV/AIDS, Dress for Success, and NY Cares. She also tutored children of Hispanic migrant workers. Lisa served as Co-Chair of Sponsorship for the Mercer Island Preschool Association, Board Treasurer for Emmanuel Day School, and as a Girl Scout Troop Treasurer. In her spare time she enjoys swimming, hiking, and kayaking with her husband and twins, and enjoys interior design. She has been a real estate investor since 2001, and likes getting her hands dirty renovating homes.
