Membership to PYP Seattle is by invitation only. For 2024, we are keeping our membership at 65 women so we anticipate only having a few spots open for new members. Priority will be given to LGBTQIA+ applicants, followed by women from historically underrepresented communities.
New Member Application
If a current member has invited you to join, please fill out the 2024 PYP Seattle New Member Application by April 30, 2024.
Applications will be reviewed in the order in which they are received. We will reach out to all applicants in early May to let them know whether their application has been approved for membership. Approved applicants will be asked to complete the additional registration steps listed below by May 17, 2024.
New Member Registration (for Approved Applicants Only)
1) Make your donation/dues payment. The minimum annual dues in the amount of $1,000 per member is required; however, members may choose to donate more than $1,000 in annual dues – donating generously to our local community through PYP ensures that your dollars will go to help local non-profits that have been vetted, researched, and collectively approved by our membership. In addition, we require members to contribute a donation of $250 annually to PYP Seattle to help cover our expenses. Please combine your dues amount and the $250 donation to cover our expenses into one donation amount when making your payment (so the minimum donation amount is $1,250). Note that donation amounts will be kept anonymous and each member is only given one vote, regardless of the dues they pay. All donation amounts are tax deductible (EIN 84-3341787).
a) If you prefer to make an online payment: Click here to make your online payment (via credit card, direct debit (ACH), Apple Pay, or Google Pay) on Zeffy. 100% of your donation and dues payment will go to Pitch Your Peers Seattle — we won’t pay any transaction fees. You may choose to add in additional money for Zeffy (the online payment platform) to help it continue to provide this free service. You should receive a tax receipt from Zeffy shortly after you submit your payment. Or:
b) If you prefer to mail a check or have your donor advised fund mail a check: it’s a 2-step process: 1) Click here to fill out the Google Form titled “2024 PYP Seattle New Member Registration Form – For Those Mailing In Donations,” and 2) Mail your check to Pitch Your Peers Seattle c/o Mina Velamoor, 6753 West Mercer Way, Mercer Island, WA 98040. You will receive a tax receipt via email once your check is received and cashed.
2) Complete and sign the online 2024 PYP Seattle New Member Agreement.
3) Submit your headshot and bio. Email a headshot photo (jpg file) and a one-paragraph bio to pypseattle@gmail.com. Your bio should include your education, work, and volunteer experience. Be sure to highlight your major life achievements, adventures and other interests/hobbies. Your headshot and bio will be added to our online member directory that is included in the members-only section of our website. Bios and headshots are a great way for us to get to know each other better!
