Hailing from Houston, Texas, Amy Severson moved to Seattle decades ago for a job opportunity. Although she still misses the Southern heat, she has enjoyed making the PNW her home. Amy has a BBA from TCU (Go Frogs!) and is an experienced business leader with over 20 years in the travel industry. After starting her career at Sabre, Inc., she joined Expedia Group in 2001. Throughout her tenure, she gained experience in sales, account management, B2B PR, and strategic event planning, with a focus on executive communication, content generation, and thought leadership. Amy was known at Expedia as a loyal and trusted colleague who could get the job done while always having fun. In 2019, she took a break to focus on her family and quickly became involved in various volunteer roles at Sacred Heart School and other non-profit organizations, including Mary’s Place and Girl Scouts. Recently, Amy and her 12-year-old daughter were accepted into the Emerald City chapter of NCL and are excited about embarking on the six-year philanthropic journey together. In her spare time, Amy enjoys power walks, hiking, tackling house projects, and spending time with friends and family. She resides in Medina with her husband, Torben, and their three children.
