Meleshia Yattassaye relocated to Seattle two years ago this past August. Being a mom to her daughter Aniyah who is a First Year College Student at Wake Forest University in North Carolina is her greatest reward. They have now lived on every coast around the country, with the most recent being Missouri and New York. These experiences have afforded their family to leave their footprint in various communities supporting nonprofit organizations branding their legacy. As a family they enjoy international travel, culture and fine cuisine.
Meleshia Yattassaye has over 15 years of Property and Casualty insurance industry experience with various roles in underwriting, management, consulting, risk management, training and development, DE&I and project management. Meleshia’s current industry role at Liberty Mutual Insurance allows her to engage with the broker community throughout the states of Oregon and Washington building strong partnerships that create new growth opportunities for the organization.
Meleshia Yattassaye’s formal education includes an undergraduate degree in Insurance and Risk Management coupled with an MBA which strengthen her ability to drive relationships and community leadership. As an insurance industry leader with 15 plus years of experience, with success at building high performance broker partnerships and leading complex accounts and industries, Meleshia is skilled at establishing excellence within culturally diverse environments, planning / executing multifaceted business initiatives designed to grow core market share, adjacent markets, and bottom line results. Her strong ability to identify customer needs and successfully work on the development of program specific products has allowed her to transition those skills in her own interior design business. Currently in Seattle Meleshia is a member of SAMs Supporters and serves on the advisory board.
