Born and raised in the suburbs of New York City, Michelle left her home state to attend Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia from where she graduated with her BBA. She began her career in Southern California as a consultant with CGE&Y in strategy and business process definition. In 2001, Michelle moved up to Seattle where she worked for Accenture doing both business and IT Program and Project Management. Michelle left the business world to start a family shortly after moving to Mercer Island with her husband Scott in 2007, and now has two girls ages thirteen and fifteen. Among various other philanthropic efforts, Michelle has been a longtime volunteer in many capacities for the Make-A-Wish Foundation including serving as a Trustee on the Board of Directors, a Wish Night gala executive committee member, and still her favorite- volunteering as a Wish granter! Michelle truly values the community where she lives, and believes it is important to support things close to home that have a real, tangible, positive impact. She currently enjoys sitting on the Mercer Island Youth & Family Services board and has been a board member of the Mercer Island Center for the Arts. Michelle enjoys spending free time with her family skiing, being on warm, sunny beaches, swimming in the ocean, doing any type of creative project, playing board/card games, planning events, and snuggling on the couch with their two Bernedoodles.
