Nova grew up in the Tacoma area and after stints in San Francisco and Boston, she moved back to Seattle in 2008, where she now lives with her husband and two kids. Upon graduating from Santa Clara University with B.A. degrees in Economics and Philosophy, Nova joined U.S. Bank where she spent time in the Human Resources department, specializing in talent management. Towards the end of her fourteen-year tenure, she traveled the country designing and implementing integration plans for the commercial banking department. Nova left the corporate world to be a full-time mother and currently focuses her attention on a newborn baby boy and a feisty five-year-old girl. She is also an active volunteer in her community as a lead volunteer in the Packs for Kids program at the University District Food Bank, classroom volunteer at the University Child Development School, and a member of a number of development committees at Sand Point Country Club. In her spare time, Nova enjoys golfing with her husband, reading and baking cakes with her children.
