Susan is an attorney and a Partner at Alston, Courtnage & Bassetti LLP, a law firm in Seattle that focuses on commercial real estate transactions. She counsels clients on real estate purchases and sales and office, industrial, warehouse, restaurant and retail leases. In addition to practicing law, Susan is an adjunct instructor for the University of Washington’s Certificate in Commercial Real Estate Program, where she teaches real estate professionals and those in related fields, such as architecture, construction, finance and planning. Susan is on the Board of Directors for the Mercer Island Schools Foundation, Co-Founder of the Harvard Law School Women’s Alliance of Seattle, Past President of Washington Women in Tax, and served for 9 years on the Board of Directors of Mother Attorneys Mentoring Association of Seattle. Susan previously served as in-house counsel for Vulcan, Inc. Prior to working at Vulcan, she was an attorney in the Los Angeles offices of Sullivan & Cromwell and Morrison & Foerster. Susan graduated from Dartmouth College in 1999 and Harvard Law School in 2002.
