Pam Hinnen moved around a lot as a Navy pilots’ daughter but has strong roots in Portland, Maine. After a decade in restaurant management on both coasts, Pam received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the George Washington University. Following graduation, she practiced Physical Therapy at the DC Veterans Administration hospital and at a Pilates studio where she also taught Pilates. She and her husband and their two young children moved to Mercer Island in 2012. Pam currently serves as the President of the Mercer Island Youth and Family Services (MIYFS) Foundation Board which raises money to support MIYFS social services and programs including staffing a certified mental health counselor in each of our district’s schools. She will also serve a third year as VP of Fundraising at Island Park Elementary. Abundant volunteer opportunities in her chosen forever home and her two school age children keep Pam busy but in her spare time she enjoys the great PNW outdoors, running, entertaining, and travel.
